I made major headway with packing today....which felt great. When I went two years ago, I didn't pack until 2 hours before I left for the airport :-O Not good! This time, organization is key - - but packing light is definitely NOT AN OPTION. We are going over bearing so many gifts for the children.
I am posting a picture of Benjamin and Hailee on top of 5 of the 9 bags we will check. We will also each have two carry-ons!
Our checked bags contain 140 pair of crocs, 120 harmonicas and instruction booklets, 80 toothbrushes, 17 choir robes, 38 backpacks, various gifts for our hosts and children...and plenty of candy :-)
I packed my personal suitcase too, and by the time I got all the things I am bringing for friends there, I didn't have much room for my clothes! Oh well, this is no fashion show...
Over and out -

You should have packed the kids, too. They would make great additions to the trip, providing constant entertainment and conversation!
Safe travels to your group! For those of you who are traveling to Uganda for the first time, it is an amazing experience. I have faith that wonderful things will be accomplished because of this trip. Look forward to hearing about your adventures and seeing photos. Will keep each of you and this mission in my prayers. Please give my greetings to all of my Ugandan friends!
Love,
Mary
So much love from so many people is going with all four of you, too - and it doesn't take up suitcase space!
So many you don't even know are praying for your success as you help the children and women and men of Uganda in the days and months and years to come!
Much, much love,
Joan
Martha, I am sorry we didn't talk before you left. I pray you have a wonderful time in Uganda pouring out God's blessings on each child you come in contact with. I cannot wait to talk to you when you return. Safe travels home love!!
